25–26 August 2026 | Bangkok, Thailand
This two-day training provides a clear, practice-oriented introduction to animal health economics for veterinarians, researchers, policymakers, and students seeking to apply economic reasoning in livestock health management. Delivered by a group of international experts lead by Prof. Hogeveen, the course combines essential economic concepts with real-world case examples.
Participants will learn how to evaluate the economic impact of diseases, compare intervention strategies, and use tools such as partial budgeting, cost–benefit analysis, and epidemiological–economic modeling. The sessions emphasize practical application, interactive discussion, and decision support at farm and system levels.
The course runs 25–26 August 2026, directly before the ISESSAH 2026 conference, and includes coffee breaks and lunch. The program concludes with an end-of-course cocktail networking event on the evening of 26 August, offering participants a relaxed space to connect with instructors and colleagues.
